Well...we made it!! All the way to NC and arrived tonight around 7:30 Eastern time to my mom's farm. The trip went well with nice weather (except for snow in Texas...when does it snow there?) and some wind in Oklahoma. I will post some photos later and a few "funnies" from the trip...just wanted to let our Stehekin friends know we are home and miss them already!

Conetoe sounds like "kanetoe" in Pitt County, NC--I live in New Bern, NC, about 50 miles southeast of Conetoe. Been there a lot. Somehow got on your blog reading Stehekin info. I'm retired from NC Forest Service and been to Lake Chelan on forest fires. Later, took my wife and kids and visited Stehekin 3 times: S. School, Courtney Ranch and rode horses, etc. How did you folks wind up in Stehekin?? From S.C. orginally? Tks. Ralph......
